The crickets today have joined the chicadas to sing goodbye to summer and welcome fall.

My fall flowers, Joe Pye, Brown Eyed Susans, Butterfly Weed, Milk Weed, Cup Plant, and Gayfeather are all in full bloom.

And tonight Mike Phelps won his 8th gold medal of the 2008 games.

The county fair has one more day

The parks all close tomorrow as the parkees all head back to school.

Funny that I said the very same thing about the crickets.  There seems to be an abundance of them all over the country this year.  Nice though, sweet to fall to sleep on!  N.

Hey there! I'm glad to see you're doing well. Your grand children are getting so big and are even more adorable than the last time I stopped by. I'm just getting caught up this evening on some of my favorite journals and wanted to say hello to you.

Hey, send some of that wind down this way, would you? It's still hot and humid in Alabama. Although, I must admit it is some better this week than it was. :)

Take care!

P.S.  I would like some of that cool weather down here in South Florida!

just popped over to say congrats on being a guest editor's pick this week; there is a touch of fall here in Southern California; but it won't stick around for more than a day or two and then we'll be back up to temps over 100; I do remember when I lived in Montana the public pool always closed the Sunday before school started which was always the fourth Wednesday of August; hmmn, in thinking of it, looks like the pool is closing this Sunday; yep fall is in the air

enjoy your weekend
